Sample package and independent checks
Reconcile a synthetic package with SHA-256 and distinguish integrity checking from ERS evidence.
A self-checkable synthetic package
The package contains synthetic content, metadata and a SHA-256 manifest. It supports reconciliation and byte-tampering checks; it contains no valid TSA token, ERS or XMLERS, so it does not establish existence time or backend conformance.
Download sample package- Extract into a new directory; read README and manifest.json.
- Run python3 verify_sample.py on the sample package; check file completeness and digests.
- Change one byte in a copy, rerun and confirm failure.
- Real ERS verification requires evidence, original data, trust material and a suitable independent tool.
python3 verify_sample.py /path/to/extracted-sampleCheck actual local bytes
Select a synthetic file and enter SHA-256 from a source you trust. The tool reads bytes locally without uploading; 10 MiB is this website tool’s limit, not an LTANS service limit.
